Where Do You Fit Into The Puzzle?

No person is perfect. As much as each of us would like to believe that we are, we are not. And making peace with this fact of life is the first step to making progress in reaching your goals in life. Granted some of us might have greater challenges which have left not just small chips or nicks on our hearts instead, there are gaping holes. But all of these flaws serve two purposes. First, these imperfections are a part of what makes each of us unique and gives each of us our own strengths and weaknesses. They are a part of what sets us apart. But they are also what unites us all. We are all flawed, albeit in our own way. But it is a commonality for every person on the planet.

I choose to see all of us “dented” humans as puzzle pieces. When you open a new puzzle box and pull out a single piece or even a few pieces, they are not very useful. You have no idea what the picture will be or how they will fit together. But when you take all of the pieces and put them together, they lock into place and form a beautiful picture. We are those puzzle pieces. Alone we are just an odd shaped item with a few smears of color, but when we pull together and work together, out potential is unlimited. We all help each other, we all complement each other and we all work together to tell our story.

So as you move along your journey and cross paths with other “puzzle pieces” think about what you have to offer that other person and how you can help to enhance that person’s life. You might be very surprised to discover who will be the puzzle piece that helps you reach your goals and makes the most out of your journey.
