We Must Believe

My dreams are all hung for the new year to come.

Maybe not all but I know I’ll reach some.

It’s up to me to see them all through.

If I really want to I’ll make them come true.

At times it might feel like I’m getting nowhere.

But I won’t give up, I would never dare.

On bad days I’ll smile and know that I tried.

And believe that I have no shame to hide.

I have many gifts that I want to share.

I will offer my help, and please know that I care.

My life is a journey, and I will learn as I go.

And nothing can stop me, that’s the one thing I know.

In 12 simple sentences, made up of simple, easy to understand words, you have created the most beautiful poem I have printed off, in color, to frame, that I will treasure this coming year as I move through the 12 months before us in 2019. Since my overall goal for 2019, after continuing to downsize and simplify not only my physical belongings, but also my books, files, photos, letters and other personal memorabilia, is to create a printed collection of Distilled Wisdom to pass on to our children and grandchildren. I also anticipate that the freedom this process will give to my soul will reward me with happier, lighter, brighter and more productive and meaningful days ahead as I continue to age with gratitude, humility and humor. So this is what your gifts are doing for and with me. I’m sure many other readers could express their gratitude in many other ways, which shows how valuable your gifts are. Thank you, Kathy, for sharing them so generously with others. I know you will continue to draw many others into your widening circle of Seeing the Good in all things because “only Light can dispel the darkness!
