Finding the beauty in a breathtaking sunset or the view from atop a mountain is easy. But being able to see the beauty in simply sitting in your own backyard or on your own sofa with your spouse at the end of a long day, that is a talent that is truly important. We must find that glimpse of beauty in everyday life to maintain true happiness.

So true! So very true!!!!! Thanks for the reminder, Kathy!!!!❤️😊
So true. Though I have never been married so do not relate to the spouse part, I do see the beauty surrounding me as I sit in my favorite spot in my apartment. It is relaxing and up-building. By the way, great photo. I love pansies. 🙂
Ditto to your comment about the pansies, Diane, as I love them, too! And Kathy, your visuals—illustrations and photos—are always so eye catching and appealing, this one especially!!!
Thank you, Pam and Diane! I always enjoy finding a photo that speaks to me or in some way ties into the message of the post. Not all topics really work with an illustration so I then look for something more abstract that catches my eye regarding the color or maybe even the brush strokes. I guess I believe that a picture can be worth a thousand words if it is as carefully selected as the words!
I love to choose photos for my blog too. I do a lot of photography and so I use my own pictures. There are at times none that really fit, but I will choose something that takes my fancy anyway and hope that my readers enjoy them as much as my post.
Beauty is inside all of us, and some of us has to power to pour it in, and on everything we touch, give and see. It’s all around us in simple things and forms, and the appreciative heart sees it in everything, from our soil that grows what we eat, to the sun that gives us warmth, to the rain that waters the eart, and make things grow.
