Each of us is but a single tree in the forest. We think that we must rely on those around us for strength and support, but it is our own inner strength that functions as a root system to keep us anchored and strong. Once we make this discovery, we can flourish individually and as a part of the forest of humanity.
Dearest Kathy, you cannot imagine how perfect this message is for me today. Although I didn’t have time to explain when I received and quickly answered your lovely e-mail last night, suffice it to say, for now, that this post is an affirmation of the combination of my Higher Power and my connection with you, that still feels like a miracle, always supporting and guiding me. I am learning about alchemy by facing my fears and staying with them until I can see them for what they are—teachers. Without the affirmations of faith, friends and family, we would not, could not stay strong and carry on as we must if we are to leave our communities and our world a better place when we go.
