Rest and relax.
I know, I know. Easier said than done but you have just got to do it.
There is absolutely nothing in this world worth getting all worked up over.
Do the work that you have got to get done but at the end of the day…stop!
Don’t plan what to do. Just go with the flow.
Don’t have your phone “taped to your hand” as my dad calls it. Shut it off or just plain ignore it for the rest of the day.
There is definitely not anything that important out there that prevents you from letting go. You might think otherwise but there isn’t.
Life isn’t as serious as you think it is.

I agree with you, and with your dad. I have never owned a cell phone, and it sometimes annoys me how people cannot leave theirs alone for even a few seconds. It is like another appendage to their body, attached permanently only to be removed by radical surgery. 🙂 There is so much bombarding our minds, eyes and ears, and it is absolutely necessary to disconnect ourselves from it from time to time if we want to experience peace and sanity. The word ‘relax’ just doesn’t seem to exist in some people’s vocabulary. And then you have the opposite extreme, the lazy people who don’t want to lift a finger to anything they think of as work. Where, oh where, has the word ‘balance’ disappeared to in our society? Thanks for sharing, Amy.
Life is serious for all of us, but I guess it depends on where in the world you live, and how you live. Also the situation facing you and the circumstances that created that situation.
