The Best Dad Ever – A Guest Post By AMY TEMPLE

First of all, I want to wish all dads a Happy Father’s Day.

As for mine, I couldn’t have asked for a better father.

Dad is one of those tall men who you would think would be intimidating but he’s just the opposite.

Dad is actually very friendly but yet he’s quiet.   He has a calm voice and really doesn’t yell that much.

As I mentioned in a previous blog, I have learning disabilities.   Dad has always been right there to encourage me along with my mother and he is usually the first one to express his dislike for how others have treated me.

I recall an incident where a now former client of mine (I’m a dog sitter) began to frequently remind me to lock their front door after my scheduled time was over because I had accidentally forgotten to a few times.   The whole thing made me feel very small to be quite honest with you.

I remember one day – when I had another reminder- Dad pointed his finger at me and said, ” Remember you are not second class.   They are the ones who are.”

So I just want to say Happy Father’s Day to the dad ever.

Thanks for always being there for me.

I love you.
