Patience And Insight

When you don’t get what you ask for in this world, did you ever stop and think that you might not be ready for it yet?

Do you recall when you were a child, and you were begging for that brand new, bigger, faster bike? And do you also recall the number of times that your parent patiently told you that you could have a new bike when you were bigger and a more skilled rider? That response was not made to be mean, spiteful or hurtful. In fact, it was quite the opposite. That was a loving parent trying to protect you from injury and even from yourself. You were not ready for it, even though you wanted it.

So remember that when things don’t go your way and consider the fact that a greater being which some might even refer to as a father, does not believe that you are ready for what you want. See the act as one of love, concern, and protection rather than a punishment or an effort to cause you pain. You just might not be ready for what you want, but that does not mean that it is not going to happen in the future.
