Successfully Navigating The Sea Of Life

We are each but a tiny vessel navigating our way across the sea of life. We can choose to visit many ports to gather experiences and knowledge. But we also have the ability to set sail and leave any port behind. Once we make the decision to go, it is our own choice what we choose to carry with us from each port.

We must choose wisely and never carry too much weight/baggage from a port, or we run the risk of sinking before our journey brings us to the next port. Only when sailing alone in the vast sea of life do we learn the weight of specific thoughts and feelings. Sadness and toxic thoughts can quickly sink your vessel. But choosing to remove those feelings of anger, hate, and personal failure will lighten your boat and allow you to find your way safely to the next harbor.

  1. Thank you for this amazing analogy! This makes you realize your actions can be a reaction from our past hurt and failures. Digging deep and removing them through forgiveness even when they might not deserve it, can free us and give a brighter future in return.

  2. Lllooovvveeelllyyy. Love, happiness, kindness, joy and other good and positive feelings you can keep on board forever and it will never sink your ship or boat. Hatred, anger, sorrow and other negative feelings, even the smallest amount for the shortest time, will cause you to sink. Use forgiveness as an oar, it will guide you to the right place.
