Focus On Gratitude

There are so many things that we take for granted each day as “just a part of life,” when that is not the case for everyone. I’m not talking about luxury vehicles, spacious homes, or an abundance of things. I’m referring to important things, like the ability to see the smile on the face of a loved one. Or that look of joy in that special someone’s eyes when you return home each night. Or the fantastic sound of a deep belly laugh when you know a person’s spirit has been lifted. Even the ability to move through your day pain-free is a gift that should never be taken for granted.


Not everyone is fortunate enough to enjoy these moments in their life. And they would gladly trade just about any “thing’ that they own to have the benefit of keen eyesight, good hearing or pain-free mobility. So as you progress through your day, try to take a few moments and visualize all that you should be thankful for in your daily life. Focusing on gratitude and appreciation for all that we have is the best way to avoid becoming bitter about things that you might feel are missing from your life.
