This year I would like to say thank you to all of the amazing people whom I am thankful to have in my life. I know I don’t say it as often as I should, but I hope to do a better job of this in the future.
It only makes sense to start with my amazing husband and our wonderful son, who will always be my Little Al. (even though he is over 6 feet tall!) My life and my world would not exist if it were not for the love and support of these two men. Mom and Dan, Aunt Sandy and Uncle Bob, Aunt Sue and Uncle David, and my cousin Julie, you are the family who is always cheering for me, offering an understanding shoulder when I need it and loving me no matter what the situation or what I get myself into. You are the ones who have taught me what it means to be a family. And to my amazing sisters from other mothers, Sara, Shannon, and Pam, I know that there is nothing that can’t be accomplished when I have you standing beside me. And also the men who support my sisters, Cliff, Jason, and Andy, thank you for loving and supporting these fantastic ladies who are my sisters in every sense of the word.
I am also inspired, touched, and thankful for the kindness of strangers who share their love and support with those in need. You are the best that society has to offer. The people who smile at someone who is having a stressful day, hold a door for someone whose arms are full or provide a hand for someone carrying a heavy load, either physically or emotionally. These people spread kindness that I hope continues to unfold around the world at an exponential rate.
Life is busy and full of distractions, but my goal for the coming month and year is to teach myself to slow down and See The Good that is all around me. It’s there, and I just need to make the choice to slow down, see it, and embrace it.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!
Oh, dear Kathy, you can’t imagine what this beautiful message from you today means to me, and I[m sure to all those who are reading your post on this Thanksgiving Day 2019. I can literally feel my heart warming with what you are expressing here.
