Find Your Freedom – A Guest Post By AMY TEMPLE

As you all know, life can really stink.  We have things that happen to us that just are not fair.  Sometimes we have a constant loop of unfair events occur in our lives.

With all this negativity happening in our lives, we have a tendency to put up an invisible bubble around us, to keep ourselves safe.

But that is the worst thing you can do. You are not helping yourself.  You are only hurting yourself.

I have been there.  For years, I had lived with my own invisible bubble.  Being horribly bullied in school and the constant rejection I received by others because of my learning disabilities, led me to wrap myself up in this make-believe barrier.

I found it very hard to trust.  I missed a lot of good opportunities because of my fear of getting hurt.

As I got older, I came to realize that was the worst thing I could have done.  So I began working on tearing down the bubble.

It has taken me a lot of time to do it but I can honestly say that is finally gone.

Now I am going to have loved ones who are going to be reading this blog and be completely surprised by this confession.

It wasn’t anything that they had done and I honestly don’t think I would have accepted any of their help if it was offered.

This was just something I had to do on my own.

So if you find yourself living in a similar situation, please don’t waste any more time, and begin to do what you must to be free.

Allow yourself the necessary time it’s going to take.

Don’t rush it.

Eventually, you will reach the point where you feel this amazing sense of freedom.  And I got to say, it’s one of the best feelings in the world.

  1. Your story is so inspiring, Amy! Thank you for your willingness and ability to share your experiences with your readers. You definitely are using your God-given gifts to help and inspire others to live their best life, and while you will never know who you are helping, be assured they are growing in number.

    1. Thanks so much for your kind words, Pamela. I really do appreciate it. Knowing that I am helping so many people with my words makes me feel so good. That has been my goal since the beginning. I want to make people feel better when they read my work. Thanks so much for letting me know my dream is coming true.

  2. I too have been there, and it hurts. Our instincts step in and forces many of us into survival mode, and many of us stay in that mode for a long time missing out on life and so much more. Slowly breaking out and taking control of our life, really is the best thing we can do to help ourselves.
