Is It Just A Homonym – Or Is It More?

It is not lost on me that certain words can have multiple meanings. For example, the word present can mean current and in attendance. That same exact word can also mean a gift or offering. And the reality is that these meanings are connected by more than just a specific arrangement of 7 letters.

When you choose to be present and in attendance, you are giving yourself a gift and also making that same valuable offering to those with whom you are sharing the moment. Strive to be present this holiday season and throughout the coming year to make the most of every moment that it is gifted to you.

  1. Beautiful post. I love how the word PRESENT is explained and interpreted. Some of us are present and in attendance but our thoughts are elsewhere. So as the writer says, not only be present and in attendance but focus too. Bring your thoughts, heart, head, and soul too. The joys and experience you get will be a gift not only for you but for the ones you share your presence with. Then beautiful happy memories will flow.
