When you walk away from a locked door, be sure to do it with dignity and respect. You never know when your journey will bring you back to that same door. And if you find it open, you want to be able to take that next step without feeling shame for your past actions. It will happen if it is meant to be, and when it is meant to be.
What a great message today! My 100-year-old mentor who died almost 10 years ago put it another way, yet the wisdom is the same. “Don’t burn bridges.” It’s like the ABCs of Life = Always Bridging Connections! Change is our only constant so we must be ready for opportunities for collaboration rather than confrontation. Walking away from a locked door with dignity and respect shows amazing character strength, faith and wisdom, all greatly needed in today’s increasingly complex world.
Well, some of us have to go after our thing, it will not find us. Others have to make their own doors to lure opportunities in. And in the process we create opportunities for others who believes that what they got was meant to be.
