We hear a lot about having a dream and making it your reality. But very often, no one mentions what it takes to make it happen.
DARE – you need to be brave
REACH – you need to stretch yourself and be willing to grow
EFFORT – only you can invest the hard work
ACHIEVE – many tiny victories add up to your dream
MAKE IT HAPPEN – it won’t find you but you can go out and find your dream
If you can dream it, then you can have it. But YOU need to invest all that is in your heart to make the image in your head become your reality.
Love it! Acronyms are very powerful because they’re easy to remember and play over and over in your head to change your thinking which, in turn, changes your life. If you can dream it, you CAN DO IT!
I believe. Someone asked me why my sons did so well in school. I said, “I use my resources and limit their options of failure.” I actually wanted to remove all options of failure, but I realize that failure is the platform many of us must stand on to reach success. If we can use our resources to limit failure, then all of our dreams are possible. Our resources aren’t only monetary, it’s our will, passion, determination, strength, how focus we are, how much we want to make our dreams come true and the belief we have in ourselves. A friend of mine added, “and how bad you want your dreams to come true.” How bad do you want it?
Good thoughts, Kathy. I wrote a book about how to get your dream back when you have either lost it, set it aside for other matters in life or lost hope. Unfortunately that book didn’t survive being copied onto the new computer very well, and it would take an enormous time to redo it. But I would like to give it a try sometime. It doesn’t seem right to write a book about retrieving the dream and then giving up on it myself. 🙂 Rather counterproductive.
