Running Into The Wind

As children, most of us loved running into the wind. It was refreshing to feel the wind in your face. But as we grow up, we learn that wind is a force of nature. It can overpower just about anything on the planet. And as such, we develop a healthy fear of wind storms. But there is a lesson to be learned from that fearless child inside of each of us.

Face the storm head-on. Only looking forward into the storm can you see what is coming at you and determine how you will overcome it. Then remember each time you faced off against this force of nature as a child and won. You ran right into that gust of wind and imposed your will to move forward. Apply that same focus and energy against each storm in your life, and you will overcome them as well.

  1. and this is why I say, “The curiosity of children. If we could get that back, it would be enough to stop us from ever giving up as adults.”
