Power, money, fame, and fortune are all over-rated and fleeting in most cases. These things will come and go, sometimes through no fault or hard work of your own. But each of us has been given tools that we should treasure. These are the tools that can change your life and change the world.
Your word is an expression of what you believe and what is in your heart. When you give your word, you are making a promise or a pledge to someone or something. Your dedication and loyalty to follow through with your commitment is a gift from yourself to another. And it should be treasured and appreciated by both you and the recipient. Don’t give your word on a whim. And when someone else gives you their word, accept it graciously, respectfully, and with great appreciation.
Your love is far more than just a feeling. It is all motivating and is the only emotion that will supersede self-preservation. When you love another person, you are willing to give your life to protect the person that you love. Again, this gift should not be offered without careful consideration and the commitment to honor its profound meaning and immense value.
Giving of yourself is a gift to all who receive it. You are a unique person with your own thoughts, ideas, and value to add to this world. Sharing who you are with another is an opportunity to broaden that person’s thoughts and ideas as well as your own. But like everything in this world, you are a limited, valuable resource. You must carefully select who is worthy of sharing the gift of you. Because the gift should be returned in kind. Those who do not appreciate you and only take will drain your spirit and your soul.
Sharing yourself, your love, and your word with others are the most genuine gifts that you can give. And when they are offered to you, they are the greatest gifts that you can receive. Seeing and appreciating their value when giving or receiving these gifts will bring you true happiness and satisfaction.
Lovely post. Sharing whatever it is, is the first step to love and kindness. Many of us live by our word, and depending on who says it, it has more value and depending on who we give it to, it becomes more important. Love, kindness, and sharing are gifts we all own, and we should exchange it as much as we can.
Very inspiring article. Thank you so much.
Thank you, Rosita! Have a wonderful weekend.
