Love Is

Love is accepting everything about a person, both the good and the bad. Each person that you love has some little habit that drives you crazy, but you choose to overlook it because you love the person. The key is that you choose to overlook the bad because the good outweighs it.

Now apply that same process to life. Life is filled with ups and downs. But when you choose to love your life, you are making the conscious decision to focus on the good because it outweighs the bad. Focus on the positive aspects of your life, accept the negative, and choose to love your life because you deserve to be happy.

  1. What a wonderful pre-Valentine’s Day message. It’s all about love, isn’t it? And perhaps we need new definitions of love, which your post is today. As always, thank you for sharing your wisdom with us daily. You are a gift to the world, Kathy!!!!

    1. Thank you, Pam! This was stirred up in my head from a commercial that I caught just a bit of- it was about a language that has multiple words for love and each one has a slightly different meaning. In English, I feel that people either use the word too freely- I love this and I love that, or they are too stingy with it. They only think of it in a romantic tone. But I think that love of many kinds exists. It is a range of feelings and emotions that are very genuine and come from the heart. And they can apply to many areas of our life.

  2. True, love is a powerful emotion and every human being tastes every day. It sometimes comes in the simplest form. We get it from family, friends, our children, strangers in the form of kindness, and even animals. And the majority of us throw it right back where it came from, allowing it to grow and spread. Then it bounces right back to the giver. It comes with pain too, because since real love is honest and pure, when it loses its honesty and purity, pain steps in to replace the two. Don’t allow your love to lose anything.
