Today Is What You Choose To Make Of It

Yes, many of us are at home, not by choice, but because we have been asked to limit exposure in public.

But think of the potential of this day you have been given.

Spending time with your loved ones, catching up on projects that you have on your to-do list, reading a good book, or catching a movie or two.

You have plenty of choices without venturing out of your home.

How many times each week have you thought longingly of the weekend?

All you wanted was to sleep in and hang around the house for the day.

Well, today is the day, and tomorrow will be as well.

But make no mistake about it, you have a great deal to be thankful for today and every day.

You have your health, your loved ones, and more options for entertainment than ever before, right at your fingertips.

So choose to make today the best day it can be.

And then wake up each morning with the plan to make the day just a tiny bit better than the day before.

We will all come out on the other side of this.

But it is up to you if you move forward a stronger and better person or an angry and bitter one.

  1. Lovely piece. I agree. This challenging crisis has given most of us TIME we didn’t plan for. Time we could use to our advantage. Time we can’t afford, but must take. Time we have been praying for. Time to think. Time to catch up on everything going and coming into our lives. Time to reflect. Time to change something. Time to unite in this crisis. It is the time of test for every one of us. We need each other to pass this test. Now we get the TIME, so please, use it for good, to do good, and to be good. We must survive together and doing good and being good will carry us through this.

    1. And I agree with you, Annelise! Thank you for expressing my thoughts about Kathy’s post today so perfectly.
