Time Is Not The Enemy

Just one month ago, most of us would have described time as our adversary. Time is a limited commodity that infringes on our ability to do, achieve, and accomplish. We all wish for more and curse it when it is wasted. Time was the enemy that was stealing from us.

But now, some time has passed, and our relationship with time has changed, evolved. Many of us are being given time to do things that never seemed to make our to-do lists in previous months. We are at home with family, doing chores around the house, and even calling friends and family to check up on them and feel connected.

Today, we are not looking at time as our enemy. We, the world, have a much greater aggressor. And it has shown us that time, the one we all thought to be the villain, is not. In fact, time is a big part of the solution to this new global dilemma. We all need to invest this time, however much it might be, to defeat what is really threatening our well-being and health.

Please, settle in and make your investment in the future. Don’t risk your health, the health of a loved one, or even the health of a stranger who is considered at-risk. This, too, shall pass, but we must afford it the time to pass in as safe a manner as possible.

  1. Lovely post. Yes, we have our wish for more time granted. Whoever the genie is, still use your time for good. Our survival greatly depends on our ability to obey a few simple rules. Is that a difficult thing to do at the price we will pay? Please, obey the rules, and your regrets will be few when this is over. And this too will pass, so please, obey the rules so you will be alive to see it go.
