Be Thankful

It is best to always look for the good in every situation, no matter how challenging or painful it might be. Even the loss of a loved one carries some shred of positivity or purpose. It reminds us that we should always be thankful for the time that we are given with the people we love, the ones who add joy and happiness to our lives, and who fill our journey with adventure and excitement.

This loss also serves as a painful reminder of the delicate balance of life. The deep pain experienced in loss is only found when the love that you shared was equally as deep and strong. It is a reminder to never take the gift of someone’s love for granted, even for a second. Because it can vanish in only a second.

And finally, our pain is the result of human nature. We feel sorrow for our own loss. The loss of a loved one. And the only way to escape even a small part of that pain is to focus on the needs of that person. See this as the end of his or her suffering, a new beginning for eternity, and the right to continue on their journey after completing their tasks here on earth. This event’s purpose was not to cause you pain but to end the suffering of your loved one. See that good and be thankful for it.

Several times, I have looked into the eyes of a loved one and uttered these words, “I would do anything in the world to take away your pain.” And I truly meant it each time. I have since come to understand that in every case, I was helpless to ease their pain. Only through the mercy of a higher being did they find peace. And now it is time for me to do my part, to carry the pain of their loss in my heart so that they can have the peace and pain-free existence that I so wanted for them.

The loss of a loved one is only an end for those of us left behind. And in reality, it is more of a pause. We never lose someone that we love, and who loved us. They remain alive and well in our hearts. And I believe that we too stay with them until we are reunited.

The world lost an exceptional person yesterday. He touched more hearts and lives than he will ever know. And he will be missed by each and every one of us. But now, it is time for us to be thankful that his pain, suffering, and struggle are over. He left this world on his own terms, in just the same way that he lived his life. And now we must all make peace with that and be thankful that Edward has been granted the peace he so deserves.

  1. So sorry for your loss, Edward will be missed by many people. His love, kindness, understanding and all the good things he did in his life, the people whose lives he touched and helped will never forget him. His memory will stay alive in their hearts. Death is not final for many of us left behind, by keeping the memories of our loved ones alive, they will always be nearby.
