Having a plan is an essential piece of success. No one meanders their way to the top.
But it is equally important to grasp that your plan can’t be carved in stone. It needs to be fluid or adaptable to meet your current situation and changing needs.
Most of the world didn’t see a pandemic on the horizon when they planned for 2020. But it is here, and we all need to find a way to get through it.
But this does not mean that your plan is completely ruined. It just needs to be altered. Think of 2020 as a “wrong turn” that you took while traveling. You didn’t plan to go down this path, but here you are. And it is sure to reveal unexpected lessons and treasures that you would have otherwise missed.
Choose to grow from this unexpected and unplanned experience. You never know where you will discover a treasure. And know that you will be stronger and better prepared to overcome other challenges when and if you decide to return to your original path and plan.
Excellent advice!!!!
Beautiful and true piece. Our world couldn’t see this. No one intentionally plans for disaster. But we must learn to cope with it and fight to survive it. Together, we will. Many of us are doing what we can, to help who we can when we can. And thank God we can.
Sometimes we can be so focused on the path we have chosen that we don’t recognize that it is possibly not the best path and we need to be taken off of it to recognize that we need to make some adjustments. Sometimes we will find gold nuggets along that path that will help us when we do eventually get back to the original path. It can be like going for a ride along the main road, then having to detour onto a side road we have never been on. We might find some refreshing and beautiful scenery we would not have seen otherwise. If we follow those detour signs we will eventually find ourselves back on the main road to wherever we are travelling. If we keep the right mindset, we might even find it exciting, though maybe much more difficult and challenging. When we follow the Lord, we will never be lost or on the wrong road. You have advised well to choose to grow during these unexpected seasons over which we have little control otherwise.
