Discovering The New You

We all have a lot to learn about what is going to be our new normal, at least for the next few weeks or months. But we also have the opportunity to learn a great deal about ourselves.

Think about all of the things that you used to do each day that are no longer important. Were you doing them because they were important to you, or was it only to impress or fit in with others?

Have you discovered new activities, entertainment, or ways to pass your new-found abundant time that you never considered before?

And who are the people that you have been compelled to text, email, or call now that you never thought of reaching out to before?

Finally, when faced with choosing between your job or staying at home to protect your health, which wins out? Many people have decided to give up high paying jobs because the risk to their health is too high. But what will you do when the restrictions are lifted? Have you had time to think about the stress your job was created as compared to what you were earning? Didn’t that added stress pose a risk to your health? And are you still willing to take that risk again?

What will you decide to carry away from this challenging time, and what have you learned about yourself that will help you find a sense of purpose and accomplishment in your future?
