The Building Blocks Of Our Future

If you think back to pre-pandemic times, every person on the planet had something to complain about. We all saw things that were wrong with our world. We all had things that we would like to see changed in our lifetime, something that we wanted to improve as a part of our legacy. Well, not everything about this pandemic is bad. We now have the opportunity to make some of those changes that a few months ago appeared to be so far out of reach.

Be honest, we all thought to ourselves that one person was not going to make a difference. One person could not initiate a global change. But now we are all facing a rebuilding process. And we all have the opportunity to create what will become our new civilized society. All of the building blocks lay at our feet. And it is up to us to assemble them into the new world that we wish to pass on to future generations.
So in this new time, do we want everyone to focus just a bit more on the greater good? Do we want our society to be more caring and nurturing? Do we want to place more importance on things like kindness, courtesy, and the simple act of being polite? Will we be glad to interact with others and happily hold a door for a total stranger? Have we learned the patience needed to stand in line politely, wait our turn, and allow others the time that they need to complete their task at hand?

How do you want to rearrange the building blocks of our future?

  1. Lovely piece. I say that when we refuse to do the right thing, life will do it for us with a hefty and costly price tag. COVID 19 is showing us the price we pay for ignoring our duty and responsibility to our selves and earth. Some else doing the job for us will definitely cost more than if we did it ourselves. It is showing us that we are the biggest threat to earth. That is not a good thing.
