If you have ever seen a small boat stuck in a storm at sea, it looks as if it is being tossed about like a child’s toy. The ocean’s raw power could capsize the boat and crush it to bits at any instant. But if you come across a group of small boats that are stuck in a similar storm, you will find that they have been lashed together for added stability. The ocean still possesses the force needed to destroy all of the small vessels. But the captains know that there is strength and stability in numbers. The boats rely on each other to weather the storm together as a stronger unit.
On many occasions, we feel as if we are that tiny boat struggling to remain afloat until a raging storm passes. But to survive the storm alone is next to impossible. These are the times that we must apply a bit of sailor’s wisdom to our own lives. There truly is strength in numbers. And we need to reach out to friends, family, and those around us to gain the stability necessary to make it through a dark period. Fortunately, even for someone who lives alone, there are many, many ways to stay connected to loved ones, groups of like-minded people around the world, and support groups.
In today’s world, no one needs to feel alone. In many cases, it is as simple as being honest when a friend or acquaintance asks how you are or if you need anything. Or in more isolated cases, it could be up to you to reach out for help or support from a neighbor, local church, or organization who can offer assistance. But what you need to remember and honestly believe is that there are caring people in this world. And also that you are deserving of their time, concern, and friendship.
Every person is no this planet for a reason. And your life has meaning. You were put here for a reason and we all need to have you here. So please, don’t feel alone and lost. Reach out your hand for help. Today others can offer their support to you, but later on, the roles could be reversed. We all need the safety and the benefit of others to help us weather the storms that appear in our lives.
Bbbeeeaaauuutttiiifffuuulll, yes there are strength and power in numbers. Strength and power give us more to fight with, thus making winning possible. We will win this and get back the life we treasure, but we must do it together.
I love this. Bravo!
