No doubt, thinking about your future can be both terrifying and exhilarating. It represents all that we fear in the unknown but also all that we could possibly dream of achieving. As with most things in life, it has its drawbacks and its good points. But the key is that your future is yours to create.
And while no one’s life is perfect, you are in the driver’s seat. At times it will feel as if you are limping along in an old jalopy that could break down at any moment and leave you stranded in the middle of nowhere. But at other times, you will feel as if you are piloting the sleekest and aerodynamic fine Italian sports car that was ever painstakingly hand-tooled for the race track. But on this journey, speed is not important. Getting there is not the focus. It is the journey to your future that holds the rewards and experiences that you will treasure forever.
Great post, great reminder. Makes me think of a popular quote I’ve always loved, too: If it is to be, it’s up to me.
