Amy has been a part of See The Good from very early on and was the first person to offer to share her fantastic work, thoughtful insight, and God-given talent her on the site. And since that time, I know that we have all benefited from her weekly posts.
But on a deeper level, I know that I have grown even more from her friendship. Every once in a while, if you are lucky, you meet a person that you just know is special. And that perfectly describes how I felt when I got to know Amy. She is a genuinely good person with a kind heart and an old soul. And that rare combination is shared with the world in each piece that she writes and in the way she lives her life.
Amy has the confidence to be exactly who she is deep in her heart. She is not going to say or do something that she does not believe in to win popularity or sway a person’s opinion. Her words and action come directly from her heart. And she uses that strong inner compass to lead by example. Her thoughts and words are always focused on kindness, compassion, love, and generosity. And considering how many people are acting at the moment, we need to have more Amys out there, pointing us in the right direction.
It might surprise many people to hear some of the challenges that Amy has faced and overcome in her life. But instead of dwelling on those negatives, she has turned them into lessons filled with encouragement and support. It is not in her DNA to give up nor let negativity or hardship win by crushing her spirit.
Amy is certainly a shining star whose purpose is to light the way for anyone who is lost, facing a challenge, or feels like giving up. So please join me in saying THANK YOU AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the amazing and inspiring AMY TEMPLE!
