Half Way To 2021

We are just past the halfway point of 2020, and most people would agree that it has been a year full of surprises. But many will also be quick to point out that these have not been the good kind of surprises. However, you need to realize that you have the power to decide how you choose to look at the first half of this challenging year. And what you choose to do in the last half of 2020.

There are 178 days remaining in 2020, and each one is an opportunity. You can look for the good in the day or resign yourself to yet another bad day of negativity and hardship. Sure, we are facing a pandemic, and life is different than ever before. But this has also been a time for many to slow down, spend time with family and friends, catch up on great books, enjoy quiet walks outdoors, and all the things that we were once too busy to enjoy.

Each sunrise brings with it two certainties. First, you will discover lessons to be learned each day. And second, you will face choices each day. How you react to these two things will determine how you view each day. Not all lessons are difficult, but they are meaningful. Any lesson learned provides the wisdom that will help you grow as a person. And that growth will have an impact on the choices that you make.

It’s up to you to put the next 178 days to good use. Different is not always a bad thing. We just need to see the new and different good aspects of our lives that 2020 has taught us to appreciate and value.

  1. I agree. Difficult isn’t always bad, and the lesson learned in the process is often valuable for many of us. It’s our choice to make the rest of the year meaningful or worthless, because no matter the condition of our world, life still goes on it. Give your life a great purpose and meaning.

  2. This is so excellent, so powerful, so true. Thanks, Kathy, for putting your words together in such a way that you inspire us all who are lucky enough to read this today!!! xxxxoooo
