In life, winning and losing are not as black and white as they are on a playing field, because life is not a game. It requires serious work and carries with it serious consequences. But the payoff is that you, and only you, get to decide what you choose to view as winning and losing.
Maybe you didn’t “win” the new job of your dreams. But you did learn many valuable lessons that will carry you further in life than that one job. That is not a loss. And if you prevail over someone else by adding less than honest experience or abilities to your resume, did you really “win?” Live your life on your own terms, and that includes how you define winning and losing.
