Human contact goes far beyond just being near enough to another person to physically reach out and touch them. You can be thousands of miles apart, but your kind words can easily touch someone’s heart. Or you could be passing on the street and simply hold a door for someone. That simple act shows concern, compassion, and caring for a person who might otherwise be feeling very alone and isolated. Even with today’s health concerns, there are many ways to “touch” another human being who feels alone.
Make it your goal today to text, call, or email someone who you know is alone and will enjoy some personal contact from someone who cares about them!
