As citizens of our country, we are fortunate to have the ability and right to own opinions about everything from where and how we live to our religious choices. We are afforded the opportunity to be as individual as we choose to be. However, we all share one common bond. We would not have the ability to be so unique and different if it were not for those who gave their lives to defend and protect our rights and our way of life. This common thread should never be taken for granted or forgotten. Deep down, we all share this one gift. Today and every day, we must honor their sacrifice by a life of gratitude and appreciation. Despite our many differences, we all share the same inalienable rights and duties.
Thank you to all those who have served and made the ultimate sacrifice for the abundant freedom we enjoy today.

I agree. My brother is in the Navy and he loves it. Many of those who serve just love their country and love to make life better for millions of people they don’t know. That action says a lot. I too give thanks to all of them who risk their lives and their family’s lives so that peace continues to grow.
