For the first time in who knows how many years, I have made a New Year’s resolution.
I have decided to embrace who I really am.
In 2022, I am going to be turning 45. I figure now is a good time as any to come to accept me… the REAL me! Not the person who others may want me to be.
Here is who I am…
I am not prim and proper. I was born a “lady” but that is pretty much it.
In other words, I am an adult tomboy. I prefer shorts and pants over dresses and skirts.
I have never been much of a makeup person. A little bit of foundation from time to time.
I prefer keeping my hair real short. I don’t like to spend a lot of time in front of the mirror fixing my hair nor my face.
Now have I felt pressure to change? Oh yeah!
I have thought about changing my clothing style. I have even grown out my hair.
But THAT IS NOT ME!
Sure some may not understand why someone my age would prefer to be this way and that’s all right.
Just as long as they don’t try to change me…
We’ll get along fine.
