Thank you for choosing to invest your time to visit See The Good and also for your desire to get to know us a little bit better. My name is Kathy, and currently, I am the only person writing for this site but my goal is for that to change very quickly. I would like this site to become a collaborative experience for everyone who visits, shares the same goals and would like to contribute their thoughts or tips on seeing the good in each day, each event and each person you meet on your journey. But for now, just a little bit more about me.
I am a wife, a mother, a friend, and a writer. Those labels define who I am, what is in my heart and what gives purpose and meaning to my life. I also very much enjoy scuba diving, riding motorcycles and a really good book or movie. I find immense pleasure and even a sense of rejuvenation hiking through the woods, walking on a sandy beach or watching the sunset. Each offers me moments to connect with nature and rebalance myself with all that I hold most dear in my heart. The other critical part of the equation is that each is experienced with my husband. It is our time to share away from the distraction of the outside world, electronics and the stress of everyday life.
Writing has always been a passion for me, even when I was working as a landscape designer, in a sales position or as a laborer. I use writing as a means of organizing my thoughts and making peace with opportunities missed, words not spoken or difficult lessons that I have failed to grasp and must make another attempt to master. I also enjoy sharing stories, thoughts and using words in a persuasive manner. I believe that words can be very powerful tools and as such, they should be carefully considered before they are spoken or written. Now more than ever, our words can take on a life of their own once we say or write them, so we must be prepared to own them and defend them before uttering them.
I believe in working hard and playing hard. Being completely invested is the only way to reach your full potential, and I am all about seeing where my effort can take me. But I also will be the first to say that anything I achieve is a product of my labor along with help from my family and friends. Without their love, support, encouragement and sometimes even strong words and hands to keep me on track, I would not have come close to all that I have accomplished and experienced in my life. And all of those important people in my life are the reason that I want to share the good and show others how important it is to See The Good in each day and every event that is a part of your journey.
I hope that reading an example of someone’s good deed or seeing an important lesson that was learned from a difficult life experience helps each person who reads my posts discover how much he or she has to be thankful for and how to use that gratitude to help others find happiness.
