I wanted to take a few moments and post an update on the book Massai by Suzette Pulvirentis. While the story of how Massai got to print is amazing and uplifting, that is only the beginning. I finished the book over the weekend and now I understand why it was pulling me to read it. I normally have several books lined up to read, and new ones go on the bottom of the stack, but…
However it may seem, count your BLESSINGS. Stop spending most of your hours in the day whining and complaining, count your blessings. That you woke every morning, that’s blessings. Seeing your family around you, that’s blessings. Working out a job, no matter how so irrelevant it may seem in today’s world or how meager the pay, count it, that’s blessings. Having food on your table, having around you those to share it with, that’s blessings. …
I must apologize to Amy Temple for the error in today’s post, An Aging Grace… is the amazing work of Amy, and not me. I would never want to steal the credit for her amazing work and am so sorry that the temple was incorrect on this post. It has been corrected but I wanted all of the readers to know that today’s awesome post was from Amy as is every Sunday post. And again,…
We all reach the time in our lives when we realize we have gotten older…by that I mean, we are not the same as we were 10, 15 even 20 years ago. Physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually. And we HATE it! We try to fight it every way we can. Plastic surgery and other cosmetic treatments. We dye our hair if we notice it’s starting to go gray or white. We dress and act a lot…
Books offer amazing gifts in so many ways. I know many book lovers who are saddened that the evening is the only time that they have to read. Unfortunately, they relish a few pages but then are consumed by sleep. I truly believe that this is not the sign of a poor book or storyline that has bored one into a blurry eyes coma. Instead, these books offer us the opportunity for a calm and…
I am awful about keeping in touch with family and friends who I don’t see on a regular basis. I think about picking up the phone and making the call, but I never seem to make the time to actually follow through. And by the end of the day, I have completely forgotten who I was even thinking about calling. But when I have that nagging thought that just won’t seem to go away, I…
They say that getting there is half the fun. But when you think about your life, it is a journey that should be savored, not the end. Your reward is not getting to the end, but rather the people that you meet along the way, the magnificent places and events that you witness and the love that you are fortunate enough to discover and share along your journey. But unlike the many trips that you…
The END justifies the means. A GOOD START becomes NOTHING when it leads to a NIGHTMARE END. GOOD STARTs are the most common BUT the rare worthy ENDs are where most don’t compute. GOOD START? Don’t give up and have a NIGHTMARE END. WORST START? Don’t give up, you can still achieve the BEST END!With all that’s in you, SEE IT TO THE END! Thank you for this contribution Gbadebo! Readers can contact Gbadebo via email at gbadebo.adebayo@yahoo.com or by…
I was afforded a very unique and touching opportunity this past weekend, thanks to my son Nathan. He asked me if I would be interested in going to a local book signing on Saturday afternoon, and as a fan of pretty much all books and those who are brave enough to undertake the task of writing them, I was eager to attend. But what I quickly learned was that this was no ordinary book signing.…
When its all been said and done, make sure… You’ve lived your life to the fullest. To have given your all to your dreams. You’re fulfilled from offering all the love you could give to your neighbors and others. To be ascertained that those that have seen the light in you received healings through it. That someday, when you leave here, you’re leaving with NO regret. You became that positive change people wanna see. You’ve…
