May the path you walk be your own. May the crowd you follow be of your own making. Trust in yourself. You are special. You are unique. You are not like anyone else. Embrace it. A community is a group of people with a common characteristic or interest living together within a larger society. Such communities are found all over the world and in every corner of each country. As Christians, we also are to belong to a specific community, in other words to a Christian Community. True Christian Communities are when believers worship and serve together in unity based on the teachings of God’s Word. These Christian Communities have a…

For the first time in who knows how many years, I have made a New Year’s resolution. I have decided to embrace who I really am. In 2022, I am going to be turning 45. I figure now is a good time as any to come to accept me… the REAL me! Not the person who others may want me to be. Here is who I am… I am not prim and proper. I was…
The best thing we can give each other for Christmas is something genuine and kind. It can’t be bought at a store. It can’t be made by a designer. As a parent, I can’t imagine my child facing a health issue that puts his life at risk. Even as the parent of an adult child, there is a neverending feeling of responsibility to fix or correct things. Knowing that this health issue is far beyond your ability to correct must fill a parent with an overwhelming sense of helplessness. And unfortunately, that is what a dear friend of my family faces on Monday. Her…
True bravery comes not in the struggle but when it is over. The temptation is strong to remain in the difficulty yet it is ignored. Standing strong and sure but humbled by the experience, carrying the lessons learned to help in the growth. That is what becomes of those who worry not about going through trials instead they focus on improving.
