Stop choosing the known quantity of what you know best. Instead, force a change to focus on what is good. One step at a time.
Being open to what comes next is as important a part of healing as the scar that forms over the wounds. We scar to help us remember what went wrong and why it’s bad to keep making the same mistakes. Don’t ignore them, and don’t conceal them. Wear them as badges of honor. You were open when you got that scar. Choose to be open when the time comes. Choose opportunity
They say love is blind, and we have all seen examples of this. Blind to what love says you deserve or should be treated like. Blind to what unhappiness you tolerate to avoid being alone. Blind to the fear of the unknown. Real love isn’t blind. It’s the clearest and sharpest vision you have. It isn’t avoidance. It is acceptance. Love isn’t fear. It is joy. Love isn’t defended.
