Your success should never be predefined. You might not always reach your expected destination or preconceived achievement, but even “missing the mark” is a learning experience. And in many cases, you find that the unexpected result is far more satisfying and enjoyable than what you had expected or hoped for as success.
We no longer speak without shouting or name calling. We no longer listen respectfully. We no longer respect that words can hurt, instead we must inflict physical damage and pain. When did we forget that we could maturely agree to disagree after sharing a civilized conversation?
Enough with the hatred. Throwing punches at each other will not solve anything. Destroying property will not solve anything. It will not bring about lasting change. You are never alone. There are always books to read and music to listen to. Both of these are the thoughts and feelings of another person that are being shared with you. Open your eye or ears, and your heart to learn from what that person has to offer.
When you hear that soft voice in your head urging you to do or say something, don’t just assume it is your own voice. Often times, it is the guidance of a higher being, something greater than yourself, trying to provide you with direction to change your path, someone else’s path, or even the world. Sometimes we just need to be better listeners.
Not all games are about keeping score or who wins. Sometimes all that matters is having fun and feeling like a kid again.
Your life is unique and should never be compared with anyone else’s life, experiences, or achievements. Do your best, be the best person that you can be, and enjoy all of the successes that reach through your own dedication and hard work.
