The entire world is talking about what will be the new normal. We will all be facing changes in almost every aspect of our lives. So why not take this opportunity to build the life that you have always dreamed of? Why reconstruct the parts of your life that were not bringing you happiness and fulfillment? Many of us held back on making changes, taking risks, and trying something new because of our own fear.…
There is nothing wrong with enjoying your victories. You are not celebrating someone else’s loss. You are reveling in the result of your own effort and hard work. In addition, you are a shining example to others of what they can accomplish by committing to hard work. Lead by example, recognize your accomplishment and share in the celebration when others around you reach a goal or milestone. Help create a tidal wave of motivation and…
How many crises do we, as humans, need to endure before we really grasp and embrace that we are all in this world, this life, together? We have fought world wars, divided ourselves over political views, geography, and the color of our skin. And even in the face of a global pandemic, we are a world divided. Yes, we have differences, many of them in some cases. But ultimately, we are all human beings. We…
Fighting a never-ending battle is making a choice to live a life filled with stress and chaos. You deserve more than that from your life. You have a right to peace and happiness. Pick your battles, enjoy your victories, and know that some things in this world are beyond your ability to change.
In life, not everything is about winning or losing. There are many times when winning just means that you accept the things that are beyond your control. And they miss all of the good things that life has to offer.
How is it possible that today would have been my father’s 95th birthday? I close my eyes, and I cannot reconcile that with the image of the man that I see in my mind and in my heart. Yes, the battle with cancer added wrinkles to his brow, thinned his hair, and even weighed heavily on his twinkling blue eyes. But how could that man have been nearing 95 I ask myself? But slowly, the…
Do the best you can with what you have been given. Don’t be afraid to ask for help when it’s needed and remember to say “thank you”. Say sorry for your mistakes and ask for forgiveness. Seek advice but in the end, it is YOUR life… nobody else’s. Do what feels right for you. Please join me in thanking Amy for her contribution this week and every Sunday! Her words, thoughts, and gifts enrich each…
It’s kind of amazing how a few weeks can alter your perception of something. For example, just one month ago, many adults were dreading getting up early each morning to go to work. But now, most of those people would be thrilled to get a call and be told that their job was waiting. And all they needed to do was arrive Monday morning and pick up where they left off. That same month convinced…
Every dream that you have is a seed that you must plant. But instead of adding water and fertilizer to help the seed grow, you must invest your hard work and dedication. And as in nature, not every seed will grow. But in some cases, after continued care and a great deal of dedication, your seed will grow, and you will be rewarded. However, this time, the fruit of your labor will be the realization…
