In many parts of the country, spring is arriving. Birds are singing, flowers and trees are blooming, and the sun is hanging around a little bit longer each day. All of these are signs that nature is continuing to move forward. Even if all of the humans in the world have altered their lives because of this virus, Mother Nature will not be held back. She is an unstoppable example for all of us to…
We all have a lot to learn about what is going to be our new normal, at least for the next few weeks or months. But we also have the opportunity to learn a great deal about ourselves. Think about all of the things that you used to do each day that are no longer important. Were you doing them because they were important to you, or was it only to impress or fit in…
An individual’s ability to accomplish great things is limited by the hours in the day, resources, personal energy, and more. But a leader can inspire great accomplishments in an unlimited number of individuals. Great leaders change the world from behind the scene, without a spotlight, and without looking for credit or recognition. A great leader’s satisfaction and reward come from within each time someone else reaches a goal, changes the world, or shines in the…
During this time of uncertainty, let us all remember not to be afraid. God is with us. We can trust in Him. We don’t have to be afraid because we are worth more than some evil pandemic. We don’t need to be afraid. All we need to do is simply believe. Our hearts don’t need to be filled with trouble nor fear. He is our helper. We can – and – should cast all our…
I have heard this phrase more and more lately. But it was not until a text conversation with my Mom that it all seemed to fall into place and make sense for me. Thank you, Mom, not just for this but for your love, support, and always being there for me! As we all sit at home, longing to get out of the house and go just anywhere, it is an excellent time to think…
Having a plan is an essential piece of success. No one meanders their way to the top. But it is equally important to grasp that your plan can’t be carved in stone. It needs to be fluid or adaptable to meet your current situation and changing needs. Most of the world didn’t see a pandemic on the horizon when they planned for 2020. But it is here, and we all need to find a way…
Especially during challenging times, it is critical to focus on what you have, not what is missing. In many cases, you have no control over what is missing or what you don’t have. However, you can choose to use what you have to grow, reach your goals, and bask in a sense of gratitude.
It is best to always look for the good in every situation, no matter how challenging or painful it might be. Even the loss of a loved one carries some shred of positivity or purpose. It reminds us that we should always be thankful for the time that we are given with the people we love, the ones who add joy and happiness to our lives, and who fill our journey with adventure and excitement.…
The clichés about positivity are endless, but there must be a reason that they were created… They refer to a glass half full, an obstacle versus an opportunity, moments versus breathtaking moments, and every other comparison that you can imagine. It appears that there are as many unique sayings about staying positive as there are individuals who need to hear and embrace their message. When you are stuck in a dark place, don’t see these…
Just one month ago, most of us would have described time as our adversary. Time is a limited commodity that infringes on our ability to do, achieve, and accomplish. We all wish for more and curse it when it is wasted. Time was the enemy that was stealing from us. But now, some time has passed, and our relationship with time has changed, evolved. Many of us are being given time to do things that…
