Three Priceless Friends

The famous saying says that there are three types of friends- friends for a reason, friends for a season and friends for a lifetime.  In my humble opinion, all three types are priceless and enrich your entire life because you carry them all in your heart forever. Appreciate the time that you share with each friend and the lessons that come with their friendship.

  1. So true. I have had many friends throughout my 73 years. Some have simply faded out of my life because of life’s turns and changes. Some have passed on before me. Then there are those who stick like glue throughout a lifetime. I have one such friend. We started Kindergarten together 68 years ago and we are still friends. We don’t see each other often or talk, but nothing changes that friendship. Memories keep the others in my life whether they live or have died. Some I have no idea whether they still live. One friend I recently found on FaceBook and we connected by Messenger, then e-mail and then by phone. We were born about a month apart and for the first 7 or so years of life we lived across the road from each other. It had been decades since we had any contact, but I guess even as I was wondering about her, she had been wondering about me and where I was. Connections are still there though there is a huge information gap. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. God bless you and all of your friendships old, new, short-term and forever.

    1. The bond of friendship does seem to be able to overcome time and distance. I too have friends who I very rarely hear from, but once every so often we take a few hours and catch up. It is like no time has passed and we just pick up where we left off the last time we chatted. I find those meaningful connections very comforting. No matter what is going on in the world, I still have those amazing friends to tether me and keep me from getting swept away. And I am equally thankful for the new friends who I am finding through the creating on this website. I have been very privileged to hear from many wonderful people such as yourself and I and truly thankful for you and your kindness.
