Failure is like that strict teach you had in school. At the time you didn’t like her, but later in life, you appreciate all that you learned from her. Embrace the lessons on your way to enjoying your successes.

I remember one such teacher in elementary school and one in high school, but strangely enough, I liked both of them at the time they taught me. My mother had the same Grade 8 teacher that I had over 3 decades later, and she did not like her. I had heard her tell about the annual two weeks of laryngitis the teacher had because she yelled so much. But when I moved into her class either she had mellowed much (it was her retirement year) or I simply saw her differently than my mother. My Grade 11 French teacher wasn’t liked by many, and I was almost afraid to be in her class. It turned out that, though she did have quite a temper, she was also able to apologize. I really liked her. Both were excellent teachers and I am glad to have had the privilege to be taught by them.
