Integrity, it is one of those things that we often overlook for things that are far less important and valuable. Humans can be a lot like liquids in that we tend to take the path of least resistance, but remember it’s the difficult challenges in life that often deliver the greatest reward. It is the time that you choose to make the difficult choice that defines you, not the money that you make or how famous you become.
Your integrity is a one and done situation. Once you sell out, it is gone forever. And there are times in life when you just need to stand up for yourself, what you believe in, and what you feel is the right thing to do. When these situations present themselves to you, look carefully at your options and know that there might never be a way to undo what you are about to do.
When I find myself facing one of these choices, I am always very careful to make sure that I am not taking action based on anger or emotion. I follow my heart and my gut, knowing that I am willing to live with the decision that supports what I believe in and who I truly am. You get one life and you also only get one shot at integrity in that life.
Another keeper, Kathy! Kathy’s Keepers is my new folder for 2019!!!!
Integrity is something David talked about in the Psalms. If we do not have integrity, we can never show Christ to the world. If we don’t have integrity, people will not trust us, and for good reason. Decisions made without that integrity can never truly bring success or happiness. God bless you, Kathy.
I agree, that why I never allow my personal feelings to get into the way of what is right, and that is not a small feat. But making the right decision at the right time is power. And how we use that power, tells a lot about who we are.
